The housing sector is becoming more customer-focused that ever before. With the DCLG and the Audit Commission requiring evidence of customer satisfaction measurement, research has a key role to play in understanding the needs of tenants. Beyond measuring service, housing providers are also encouraged to engage and involve tenants in decisions that effect them. Housing providers need to understand what matters to tenants in order to improve the services they provide them.
