Public Sector - Central Government Research
Central Government
Research plays an integral role in measuring and understanding public opinion and assessing initiatives produced or supported by government. It provides valuable insight into people’s attitudes, perceptions and expectations to bring about positive policy developments and inform service improvements.
Research also provides evidence of customer satisfaction with service delivery to help improve the areas that matter most to the (often involuntary) customers.
ORC International specialises in the following areas of research, covering both quantitative and qualitative research techniques:
- Customer research – using qualitative and statistical techniques to understand and measure the key drivers of customer satisfaction.
- Stakeholder research – involving key stakeholder groups in consultation on service delivery; involving stakeholders directly in shaping future priorities.
- Mystery shopping – monitoring the actual service delivery as seen through customers’ eyes; providing clients with real actionable feedback.
- Policy evaluation – assessing the effectiveness of policies that influence public life.
