ORC OoBE
How the ORC OoBE works
Recruiting respondents
Respondents are recruited according to criteria pre-defined by our clients, such as:
- the experience a user might have of the technology or product in question
- whether they are owners of particular technologies
- whether they are consumers or professional users
Viewing facility
The OoBE takes place in a purpose-built viewing facility where clients can observe the session “behind the mirror” and see at first hand how potential customers would fare with their product, once they got it home.
Facilitation
The sessions are facilitated by a skilled moderator experienced in allowing respondents to navigate their way through the task – intervening only when necessary. Video and audio recordings are made of the sessions. ORC International conducts OoBEs across Europe and is fully experienced in identifying problematic localisation issues.
Reporting
ORC International’s accomplished researchers produce concise reports designed to input directly into all constituent product planning processes.
