British Library Business and IP Centre
The British Library’s new Business & IP Centre opened in its flagship St Pancras building in March 2006 to provide information services and facilities to the business community, particularly start-up companies.
ORC International was commissioned to conduct research to understand the requirements of potential users, specifically to understand the difficulties faced during the business start-up process, the stages at which external help was required and to refine and develop the British Library’s service proposition.
Six focus groups were conducted among recent founders of new businesses, one focussing specifically on Asian businesses.
