Core Portal
For ease of use, ORC AccessPoint has been constructed as follows:
Home page
This provides details about the research programme and the site itself, and gives a brief overview of functionality. As this is the first page that users see, items of current interest can be posted here.
Research manager pages
This is where project-planning information is uploaded – from timetable details to key tasks. The following menu options are available:
- Action points – recorded issues can have associated actions, outcomes and clearance dates added at relevant times. This ensures all identified issues are addressed.
- Project team – names, photos, brief descriptions of the project roles and contact details of both ORC International and client staff are stored in this area.
- Project issues – any issues raised by either ORC International or your project staff can be logged here.
- FAQ – to help find speedy resolutions to user queries, a web page of likely queries and responses is stored in this section. New queries which occur during the life of the project can also be added, to help users and reduce the administrative burden on project staff.
- Project plan – an area where schedules can be made available.
- Progress – this is where you would find an updated report of interview progress.
Research library page
This is the repository for any research materials produced during the course of the project. This might include questionnaires, project plans, interviewer briefing notes etc.
Research reporter page
This area contains relevant reports and outputs from the research programme including raw data, written reports, statistical analysis and PowerPoint presentations.
