Benchmarking Groups
Public sector customer experience benchmarking
We have been running our benchmarking practice since 1997 and our database, perspectives, is one of the largest, most robust and flexible in the UK. The tool is designed to support and improve the collection, processing and sharing of customer experience data.
We run two long-established benchmarking groups – one for central government departments and agencies, and the other for housing providers. In 2009 we proudly launched our third public sector customer experience benchmarking group, for education and skills providers. Each group enables organisations to set their customer research results in context against their peers:
- For central government meetings we use data from approximately 70 government departments and agencies to produce the benchmarking reports. We currently hold data for 36 key indicators of customer experience.
- For education and skills organisations we can benchmark key results within important areas such as satisfaction, recommendation, communication and impact on learner satisfaction. The benchmarking database is set up for four types of respondents: learners, employers, IAG clients and other service users.
Benchmarking events
As part of our benchmarking service, we run regular events and workshops to provide public sector representatives with an opportunity to network and share best practice. All participants will receive a free, confidential, personalised benchmarking report at the meeting, highlighting where their organisation sits within the dataset.
How much does it cost?
Membership of the group is free of charge. Furthermore, ORC International does not have to have run your survey for you to join.
